Connecting to a website via proxy in Perl? Can't Post

I saw a proxy module in CPAN, but the docs weren't very helpful. What is the best route to connect to a site via proxy? I'm living in Canada, and need to extract data from geocloaked websites visible only to american IP ranges. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best proxy application via Perl?

The LWP library has a proxy method in the UserAgent module. Through this method you can setup a proxy and use it very easily.
