Multiple results pages Can't Post

I've jusr posted a reply to a question about how to break a pile of results into pages with 10 results per page. This is the second time that I've written the same basic reply in the last couple of months.

How about doing this as a tutorial (making it a lot prettier than my rambling responses)?

BTW, where are these tutorials going to reside on the site. Is there going to be a separate archive for these "How To" tutorials? This would keep them nicely separate from the aticle archive which deals with topics in depth and are (usually) complete solutions.

Very nice idea Smile

But since you seem to be the guru on the topic, may we suggest that you write it? We offer free banner advertising to our authors -- http://tlc.perlarchive.com/freeadv.shtml

The tutorials reside in the learning center, at http://tlc.perlarchive.com (formerly at http://www.perlarchive.com/tlc/ ). A list of all of our past and present articles are at http://tlc.perlarchive.com/archive.shtml

I'm curious now... did you not know of the existence of the learning center, or did you just not realize that the articles/tutorials were there?

Re: Multiple results pages [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Jasmine.

I'd hardly call myself a Perl guru but I have developed 3 commercial sites that use the multiple pages for results technique that I've used as my response to cries for help. Every time I do a new site I change how I do things - so I'm still learning (I cringe at the code in my first scripts but they work so what the heck?).

I'll have a go at writing the tutorial for this. Put my name against it and I'll have a go this weekend.

Later,

Ray

Okay... how about "well versed in the topic"? Smile

I've put your name next to the article in the "Wish List" and look forward to your article. Thank you! Smile

Is this "wish list" accessible on your site? I wouldn't mind taking a look at it to see if there's something I could handle.
