CGI::Cookie Can't Post

I'd love to see an article on the proper use of CGI::Cookie. I'm having terrible trouble trying to modify a cookie after the print "Content-type: text/html\n\n" line.

Keep up the good work.

Re: CGI::Cookie [In reply to] Can't Post

I think an article (or tutorial) on HTTP headers is more in demand. I'm working on such an article. Cookies are set via the HTTP header "Set-cookie". You can only have ONE set of HTTP headers per response (unless you're using server-push) and after a blank line, the headers are over.

Look for the HTTP headers article in October.

That's great Japhy. I'll be looking forward to it.

Please keep in mind that some people don't like to load the whole CGI.pm module, so they can't use:

print header(-cookie=>$cookiehandle);
