Running Perl executable under DOS Can't Post

Hi all,

Though I am not sure whether this is the correct forum to ask my question, but I'll try anyways.

I want to do the folowing:

1. write the perl script in Win XP

2. convert it to executable using perl2exe SW (also in Win XP)

3. Then I need this executable file to be able to run from DOS.

SO my question is : is this scenario doable?

If so - please help me to undersatnd how can i perform this.

Thanks in advance,

Inna

Re: [ikarapet] Running Perl executable under DOS [In reply to] Can't Post

If you mean to run it on DOS 6.22 and not a cmd.exe window, then answer is no.

You should look over some of these google hits.

Thanks for the reply!

So you mean in order to run Perl executables under DOS I need to write it in DOS and "compile" it in DOS or you mean Perl executable cannot be run under DOS at all?
