Update console line Can't Post

Hi.

I have a program that uses a loop. What I would like to do is esentially tell the user how many times the loop has been iterated by outputting the loop counter in the console (linux). Thing is, I want the line that contains the number of iterations in the console to change just to show the next number - rather than a new line etc. being created to show the next value.

Any ideas? I have tried googling it but to not much success.

Thanks,

Take a look at one or more of the Curses modules.
