use Device::USB; Can't Post

Hi ALL,

I am facing problem on using USB port.
1. Installed http://www.bribes.org/perl/ppm/Device-USB.ppd ppm
2. used code is
#!/usr/bin/perl

use Device::USB;
my $VENDOR = 0x4d8;
my $PRODUCT = 0x8001;
my $usb = Device::USB->new();
my $dev = $usb->find_device( $VENDOR, $PRODUCT );

printf "Device: %04X:%04X\n", $dev->idVendor(), $dev->idProduct();

$dev->open();
print "Manufactured by ", $dev->manufacturer(), "\n",
" Product: ", $dev->product(), "\n";
$dev->set_configuration( $CFG );

$dev->control_msg( @params );

3. my USB port VENDOR = 0x4d8; PRODUCT = 0x8001; is the IDS.

I m getting errors

"found 7 busses"
"Can't call method "idVendor" on an undefined value at ..."

I need to install any files?
Could you please help me
its very urgent for my project
