Creating a Web robot. Can't Post

Is there a full blown web robot example on the web? I know about the wwwPerl library but am having problems putting the pieces together

I also know about the book, but do not want to spend the money.

thanks

WWW::Robot is a "configurable web traversal engine (for web robots & agents)". You'll find the documentation here : http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/CPAN/data/WWW-Robot/WWW/Robot.html

An example of its use can be found in the WebTechniques Column 42 from Randal L. Schwartz : http://www.stonehenge.com/merlyn/WebTechniques/col42.html
