Stop CGI script for input Can't Post

I have made a few CGI programs that receive data from a form and process it. I have a good understanding of very basic perl.

I am embarking on a more demanding project and have come across a small problem. I want to feed data to a perl script via browser, process some data then ask if the user wants to continue.

Is it possible to have a CGI program stop in the middle and wait for user input via a browser? I would like a second submit button after the script does some initial parsing. I dont expect you to walk me through the code, but if someone can point me to documentation that would be great.

No. The user is waiting for a response from the CGI program in the form of an html page.
