PERL CRON JOB Can't Post

I have a perl script that i need to run 5 times every day and generate a status of the script.
is it possible using cron. if it is, how do we use it. what commands do i need to use.???

What you mentioned as status of the script? Is it return status or error log of the script. If you want return status use echo $? in cron file and write the return status to one file. If you want error log redirect the error to some file.

For running the perl script , simply give full path of perl script in cron file.

You mentioned that run the script 5 times in every day. I didn't understand your time interval. Explain again.

my script and the cron fn are working fine now.
