You are going to have to get some terminology straight. Html forms contain text and they contain input fields--they do not contain functions. When you submit a form, it sends name/value pairs to the server, where presumably your server side perl script is located.

You are going to have to describe the user action you are interested in responding to, and the response you want your perl script to send back to the browser. And, you are going to have to post some code WITH CODE TAGS, detailing what problems you are having.
On the other hand, if you want to hire someone to write the program, then send $300 to my Paypal account, and I'll get started.
