Saving Pictures To Local Folder? Can't Post

This isn't terribly important but it would be nice to be able to save the pictures from a web page to a folder.

I didn't think you could do it but I thought I would just see if anyone knew if you could.

Right now I'm using lWP::Simple to cache web pages and fixing the paths in the src tags to get the pictures to show up. So I could live without it but It would be better if I could save the pictures and store them so users can still view the pictures if they are removed on the server they came from.

Thanks,

perlkid

Why don't you just fetch the images like you did it with the web site, store them on your own server and then have the src parameters point to these fetched pics?

ciao,
Henning

Thanks Henning,

I'll try that, I'll try using Mirror.

Thanks,
