GIF Grabbing? Can't Post

I want to yank GIFs and JPGs from sites and copy them to my own server. (Weather maps etc..) What is the simplest way to do this?
I can copy text with LWP, but the pics are giving me fits.

You shouldn't have any problems grabbing images with LWP but you didn't elaborate on how they're "giving you fits".

You may want to look at the mirror() function in LWP::Simple, or the Image::Grab module.

mirror()! Its been a while and I forgot about that one.
See the pelican book page 94 for ref:

use LWP::Simple;
mirror($url, $file);

TNX!!!!
