AnyDBM_File is broken, how to fix? Can't Post

I have Perl 5.6.1 on Solaris 5.9, but the AnyDBM_File option does not work. I.e. dbmopen and tie do not work, I get an error when I try to use exists() on them.

How do I fix this?

It appears cpan is installed on this system but I am not familiar with it.

Thanks.
