Polling a file Can't Post

Hi I have a file abc.txt which is being generated by triggering a process; this process runs for around 30 mins and its logs are put into this abc.txt. However, the process some time stuck and dies.

My Requirement: I want to take the time stamp of this file and sleep for some 2 mins and again take the time stamp of the file and compare. If the time stamp is different i can loop agin inside the loop. Orelse i can come out the loop and do the restof the process.

Please help me on this.

Thanks...

See the stat function for getting the time stamp.
