Spammer invading our forums with golf issues	Can't Post

Is there a moderator in the house?

I see that a two users, named golf1 and Eva (mainly "Eva"), have been posting ads about golf clubs on this forum. I see postings on the Beginner and Advanced forums as well.

Is there someone moderating who can ban these posters?

Honestly, I have not the impression that this forum is still administered. I've already tried in the past to get in touch with an administrator, without any luck.

Rov,

I posted that complaint in September and nobody responded until March. And that first response was gibberish, as you can see. We are not amused. Mad

I'd hate to see this forum fall victim to its own success.

Of the people listed as moderators, the last login was in May 2008.

I was just tasked with acting as a moderator and going through all the posts to remove spamming users. If you PM me with names of the users I don't find I'll delete them.

How the hell did you manage to get in contact with someone who could give you moderation powers? You're a new user too. Suspicious. Also, its kind of obvious which is spam, mostly anything to do with golf.

Chris,

jodi works at Gossamer and was asked to clean up the forums.

Thanks again jodi for putting in the work. It's really nice to not have to see all the spam any more.

I've gone through and deleted about 10 users and can't seem to find anymore. Hopefully that helps, but if you find anymore just let me know and I'll take care of 'em Wink
