Automating processes on a web server? Can't Post

I was wondering if there's a way in Perl to have a script call itself at specified intervals or times. For example doing a backup copy of a file every week ar at the anniversary date of the creation of the file. TIA!

Yes, your supposed to use cron tabs for that, I've never gotten them to work for me but maybe you'll have better luck.

Hi,
My host provides in depth tutorials on cron and it's usage. I have only ever used it once for log file rotation but it's pretty powerful. http://www.dsvr.co.uk and go to thir reference section.
