jamie Deleted Jun 28, 2000, 6:40 AM Post #1 of 6 (945 views) internet traffic Can't Post Hi, I'm trying to write a short program that listens in on all the traffic coming into and leaving my computer via the dialup network connection. I want to store the complete packets (IP headers etc...) and be able to view them later. I've been playing around with the socket module functions but can't seem to bind the sockets I open to any ports (really I'm not even sure if this is the right way to go). My setup is mod_perl 1.23 running under Apache 1.3.12 for Windows 98SE with a Diamond SupraMAX 56i Voice PCI modem. Any suggestions? Jamie

You need to be a K-R4d l33t dude to attempt one. Before trying to do this, learn a little about how networking works. Or goto scriptkiddies.com and grab one that meets your fancy

I'm learning TCP/IP, PPP, ..., at the moment and well, you know, best way to learn is to do kind of thing. Downloaded SpyNet - which I like - but nothing beats doing it yourself. deus - prefer and have Linux - does that still make me a K-R4D H4X0R? - but with a WinModem and not enough money what can you do? So guys - any concrete suggestions out there ... PS. dues is right - jamie can be a male name too - what about errr?
