%EXPORT_TAGS Can't Post

If I have a module that does this:

use vars qw($textHeading $headingBG $normalBG $inactiveText);
@billing::ISA = qw(Exporter);
@billing::EXPORT = ();
@billing::EXPORT_OK = qw(HTMLHeader HTMLFooter $textHeading $headingBG $normalBG $inactiveText);
%billing::EXPORT_TAGS = (':COLOR' => [qw($textHeading $headingBG $normalBG $inactiveText)]);

why can't I do this:

use billing qw(HTMLHeader HTMLFooter :COLOR);

it says:

":COLOR" is not exported by the billing module

Re: %EXPORT_TAGS [In reply to] Can't Post

HAH! I figured it out by myself (after a few hours) Frown

the tags that are being imported must be placed at the first. What a silly thing, eh?

so the line needs to read as such:

use billing qw(:COLOR HTMLHeader HTMLFooter);

Wish I could have seen that one coming . . .
