Perl6 won't have typeglobs?

According to its author, Perl6 won't have typeglobs. This is what I'm reading
when I go to the YAPC website.
- Any opinions as to why this is going
to be done?
- How does everyone feel about that?
- Is this going to be a hinderance in
any way to OOP?
I think if it were necessary, one could just write a module that provides glob functionality for Perl5 programs that need it, but being unfamiliar with more
advanced uses of the typeglob datatype I'm interested in what members of this
forum have to say.
