seting environment variable Can't Post

Hi folks,

I need to set the environment variable to
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE"
inorder to do a build. I used the following in my program. But it is not working can you please help how to fix it.

$ENV{PATH} = 'C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\\Common7\\IDE';

The environment ends when the perl program ends. In this case, that is a very good thing. Without the default path, most of your computer would have stopped working. You should add the new folder to the existing path, not replace it.

I do not know enough about your task to recommend how to do that.
