Yahoo Like Script Can't Post

I am looking for a script that can do exactly the same as Yahoo does. A script can be either free or commercial. Just to be as good as Yahoo.

You can also look at Red Dragon Enteprises

There is a search engine and database program there.

Thank you for both of you for the suggestions. Both scripts look good for me. My only concern may be it does not have a customizable feature which is very difficult to modify for a novice like me. Do you have any thought about another script called Anaconda Open Directory. It is quite impressive but the price is expensive too.

What do mean by a "customizable" feature?
Link Engine on Red Dragon Enterprises is about 95% configurable, you create the categories/sub categories, control the links submitted, can configure the ouput to fit into the rest of your site. This program also comes with installation and support.

Sorry, to make it unlear.
Customizable means that if I want to make the page look exactly like Yahoo, I should be able to modify it. By the way I just found one script that will do the trick called indexfinger.

Re: Yahoo Like Script [In reply to] Can't Post

OK, not much I can give you suggestion, since what I can see is only your demo. But one think that different from YAHOO which is what I am looking for is that you have to browse to the category you want to be added to submit the request. In yor case, you might consider to have it work both way. The other thing that I am not sure because I only saw your demo is if someone buy your script, can they change the layout. Is template customizable? If they want to add header or footer or side column, can they do that?(see YAHOO as an example, in the news, marketplace). I think you can improve your sale, if you can give more details about your script.
Good luck

Check out the administration

You can define the html around the output of the program any way you like. All my packages are this way so that you can make the program part of your site not a sideline of your site Smile

Check out Hyperseek. It has loads of features and is completely customizable using templates and HTML. It is rather expensive but worth the price. There is a directory of sites that use it at http://www.hyperseek.net .

They also offer a free version called ilink that you can find at http://www.interactive-web.net .

Hope this helps!

Re: Yahoo Like Script [In reply to] Can't Post

Thank you, for so many kindly helps from every one. I am very impressed of how many nice people have used this forum and try to help each other out. I just bought a script that should do the work I am looking for called Indexfinger Pro. The price is affordable and works fine. The only bad thing may be customer support, since I have to post questions on their board and not a lot of nice people like you guys will response from their board. Some of my questions were already posted for almost two weeks. Anyone, who consider of buying it, make sure that you have some knowledges about PERL, not like me, so you don't have to rely on some one else.
