Is it possible to protect *txt files with cgi? I need it... Can't Post

I need a program that could protect text files: no images, no warez - just text files. I've made some experiences with programs like "Bandwith Protector", "AntiLeech" and similar. They all work good, but under MSIE only.

What I need, should deny given URL's or allow a list of URL's to link to a text file. I repeat: not domains, exactly given URL's! And it must work as good under MSIE as under Netscape...

It doesn't make sense that the programs you listed work only for MSIE. I've tested (at least) Bandwidth Protector on both.

If, when trying it with Netscape, the problem is that the desired file doesn't display at all, make sure that you have closed the table tags. Also, make sure that there are no spaces in the file name. NS trashes everything after a space in any url.

It's probably easier to figure out why it's not working on NS than to develop a new one, whch may pose the same problem. More likely than not, the problem is due to one of the two possibilities explained above.

Good luck!
