I run The Scarsdale Network at www.scarsdalenet.com - an online news and information guide dedicated to our community, Scarsdale, NY. I had used AWSD's WebCal and switched to Interactive Scripts eventCalendar last year because it allowed visitors to post their own entries.
Community Calendar System For Multiple Organizations
However, I have since built and donated several websites to local non-profit organizations. These all could use calendars of their own.
This is what I would like: A calendar system that allows me to give away co-branded calendar systems to these organizations' websites. Each of their entries would show up on their calendar but also on the main Scarsdale Network Calendar.
For example, start with The Scarsdale Network calendar being blank. The United Way of Scarsdale has their own website and calendar that I give them. They add their monthly meetings which take place the first of each month to their calendar. These meetings show up on their calendar as "Monthly Meeting". They show up on the main Scarsdale Network calendar with some kind of prefix indicating its source like "UWS: Monthly Meeting". People clicking on it would get the full description.
I'd believe this would require one central database of events with prefixes or codes denoting the source/calendar it belongs to.
This way I could give away co-branded calendars to all our local organizations as a free gift and they'll populate the main Scarsdale Network community calendar automatically.
Sounds like a win-win situation to me, just can't find the software for this kind of application anywhere.
Thanks in advance for your help.
