AOL Instant Messager Can't Post

I'm looking for a script that can access the AIM system to see if a user is online. I have found one for ICQ, but would also like one for AOL. If anyone knows of such a program, could you point me to it?

PS. Hopefully it is a free one. Wink

Thanks,
Monocle

I have no expereince with either but try Net::AIM or aimirc.

You could prolly kludge something with non-perl apps like gaim or Jabber.

monocle...where did u get the script for ICQ? Can I have a look? I'm looking for similar script but doesn't have to use AOL/ICQ. It's web-based/indicator to see if the user is online...possible???
