cgi query [please help] Can't Post

i am starting a free webhosting service similar to that of geocites, tripod and fortunecity. Ive noticed that on tripod you can add cgi capability to your site just by adding a few perl modules. Is it possible to use these modules on any free webhost?

If you know anything on this topic, or know a cgi script or other script that can give my visitors cgi capability, can you please reply to this message.

Thankyou

Re: cgi query [please help] [In reply to] Can't Post

I run something like that on my webserver, except host pages are not user.domain.com but instead www.domain.com/pages/user. I use Sambar server for my web server, but I'm sure the script can be tweaked for any setup. The author is a great guy and helped a lot in my configuration (which needed some special tweaking). To get the script goto http://sambar.jalyn.net/ then scroll down to
Sambar Add-on's - written or re-written for Sambar, then select "Multi-use script to create accounts". Sambar is great server BTW, and this script has runs perfectly for me and I use it to create web and mail accounts. I can provide more details of my setup if needed. Hope this helps some.
