Thx for the script details ip.cgi. However when I use the script i keep getting the message [an error occurred while processing this directive]. My host assures me that SSI is enabled on the server. What does this mean?

Thx

Ok, This means there is somthing wrong with the ssi.

I just check one of my own scripts and I found that in the past I used

<!--#exec cgi="/news/top-headlines.cgi" -->

I didn't put the http://

also try it with out the url and just the path to the ip.cgi file.

Re: Perlkid [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi

I have now tried the script using /cgi-bin/ip.cgi and i do not get the error. However - nothing is printing on the screen. Also when i " view source" for my page the line <!--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/ip.cgi" --> dosen't seem to be there. I have cleared my cache and reloaded the page to the server. Help ? :-(

No need for Perl or CGIs: just your pure SSI.

<!--#echo var="REMOTE_ADDR"-->
