I've been looking for a free PERL script for a while that prevents leeching (essentially serving as a DL-manager); I know that many exist, but I can't get around to trying *all* of them -
Global antileech/dl-manager, and troubleshooting...
I've been trying Madere's script (http://www.md-sites.com/scripts/anti_leech.html) but I can't seem to get it configured correctly, even though all the variables seem in-line with his examples. While in Opera, Opera's DL manager downloads the pl script, and while in Netscape Go!Zilla also downloads the pl script. IE gives an error about misconfiguration of the script (but the variables seem fine?).
So.... Ideas? A different script, or trouble-shooting the one I'm trying? (I'm not sure of this is the right forum to post to, but oh well ..
