manunkind Novice Nov 3, 2000, 10:57 AM Post #1 of 6 (796 views) Until I LEARN enough.. Can't Post ..I want to find a script that does a 5 star average like amazon.com. Where people can vote with a 5 star system on each product and the program will calculate the average and it will be displayed on the main page for that product. Then each time another user votes, it will update that file and display the updated average. Confused?? See amazon.com and check out the 5 star system they use to rate each book. Thanks in advance!

I think you may like the links engine, it has some disadvantages but it has a good administration panel, and it has the rating system that calculates the average rate. Also it allows you to give a review. It's at http://www.gossamer-threads.com and it's called links 1.0. Check it out. They should still have a version for free. If they don't then I'll dig around and see if maybe some other anonymous person has one. :) Sleuth

I was kind of hoping for the graphic version of the rating system. Where it will actually display the 5 stars and fill in with color. Lets say something has a rating of 2 stars, it will show all 5 stars, but only 2 of them will be colored in showing it has a 2.0 rating. Do you have anymore links up your sleeve? :) I really liked the admin part of that Links 2.0 program! It was a nice program, but it lacked the graphic interface of the rating part I was hoping for. Thanks again!
