mckhendry Deleted Jul 24, 2000, 10:53 PM Post #1 of 2 (39319 views) encrypting modules Can't Post ok all you smart moderators and other gurus, I have a questions about encryption modules. I need to encrypt a session id and a user name on my server and then store that off in the cookie. As well the information is stored in a mysql table. I need some suggestions as to which module I should use for the encrypting and why. Right now I am torn between RC4 and Blowfish. I have heard that Blowfish is heads and tails above DES, and so that is why I am not considering it at the moment. Any help is surely appreciated. Thanks in advance. mckhendry

No one has come close to developing an attack that breaks Blowfish (according to my research, if I am wrong please point this out). So with that said, I think I'll use Blowfish.
