PATH? Can't Post

Hi, I installed Perl on Win98SE earlier today and got it set up with my local Apache server sucessfuly. My only problem is that I dont want to have to go through my browser when messing around with scripts!

When I click on a .pl file in Windows, the perl script WORKS!
When I run command.com and actually go to the perl/bin directory and type perl e:\perl\eg\example.pl it WORKS!
But I dont want to have to go to perls bin directory to run a perl script!

I read the docs and it said to make sure that the PATH to the perl executable is set. I dont know how to do this. I have tried making an entry in the autoexec.bat file, but that doesnt work!

Can anyone help?

Did you by chance reboot your computer after making the change to the autoexec.bat file?

I'm a little confused with what you want to do. You said when you click on a .pl file in Windows, it works.

What is not working that you want to work?
