Inserting perl scripts Can't Post

Quick question. I'm using ASP pages but I want to use simple scripts such as a webcounting script on my page. When I was using SHTML I could simply put in the exec line (like this) to run and display the count....

But it doesn't seem to work with ASP? I'm a being genuinely thick or is it not possible to call a script with this line on ASP pages? Thing is, SHTML doesn't seem to work too well on my server, so ASP was the next best thing.

Any help is always appreciated,
Cheers.

This may help, I just made an entry into the FAQ section, How Do I Include My CGi Without SSI?
