perl image making transparent round corners Can't Post

is it possible to use perl to take an image and give it rounded corners convert to .png and make the corners transparent.
if so how would i go about this.
each image will be the same size

I have not tried to do this within a Perl script, but take a look at some of the GD:: modules.

i found this page where someone is using gd apparently but i think they are using php but can this technique be used on perl without much trouble do you think

As I mentioned in my first post, I haven't done this before. However, after reading the module documentation, it looks like you can do this with the GD module very similar to the php example.
