I managed to read data from a usb sensor but via serial port, I now need to read data from usb device that doesn't open a serial com port. Thanks.

When u plug in the thumb drive windows automaticly sets its to a drive like e:/ or g:/ u can use a loop to go threw the possible drive letters and then if found u can use it the same way u would open and write to a file on the harddrive....

I want to manage the device and to read from a script the info included in the card when I insert a card in the device. The device is recognized under win7 as EMV Smart Card Reader. Thanks! EDIT: As I see now in the device manager, the device appears as Generic Smart Card under the Smart Card section. If I only could manage the device as a usb keyboard then it would be just fine but it seems to me that this can't happen (This post was edited by KingNothing on Jul 18, 2012, 9:54 AM)
