Any Inbuilt Library for Data Filtering ?????????

Any Inbuilt Library for Data Filtering ????????? Can't Post

I am getting huge data in the form of a table from database. first column containd unique ID and third column contains some other id. this data is stored in a file
now I want to arrange this data based on the first column id (unique id). Is there any in built library or module that can help

you can use sql to return the data by useing ORDER BY column in ur sql statement.

that file is getting created at run time in my Perl script and also the file is having billions of data. So now I need to process this data and get it arraged in the new file. Do I have any class/module or libray which does some sort of processing or filtering in PERL

Why can't a simple sort of the lines do it for you?
