I have a webpage which is mostly written in perl. I have added some php pages that use a mysql database.
Executing php file from within perl
In the past I have accessed the php pages using links displayed on the screen with perl/html code. Parts of the webpage are restricted to those that are registered users. The username and passwords assigned to users are stored in text files and the verivication code is written in perl.
I am constructing a new php database which will allow users to add contents to it. That part is now done and works fine. I now wish to restrict access to registered users with the verification of username and password. This is code written in perl. I have the links to access the login screen set up and it works fine. The verification works fine (an error message is given if the wrong username or password).
What I wish to do now is link the perl verification file once that task is done, to the php file with the data input screen.
I know that in php and visual basic there are commands that will redirect the program to other files once they are through executing, but I can not find something similar in perl.
I do not do much perl programming so this may just be a stupid question, but I would appreciate any help.
