Need alot of help - im very new to perl. Thanks <3	Can't Post

Hi i'm a biologist and wanted to make a code to determine the Cytosine and Guanine content of a genome. I have done quite a bit of it but my script is buggered up. Was wondering if anyone could help a girl out? I would like to email whoever decides to help me. Let me know. :)

For helping, we would need to know in detail where you got stuck. Try to isolate the problem so that you can explain it in just a couple of lines of code.

Also, with beginners questions, it is always helpful if we know your general experience of programming. Explanations will look different, whether you are a programmer who knows many other languages already and is just new to Perl, or whether you are completely new in programming.
