something really easy for perl guys Can't Post

okay guys,

someone please help me out with this, it will take you 15 mins max i know!

what i want to do is have a script that will take info in from a form,

fields--
name:
mb:

name will take in the member name, no pw needed
mb will take in the a number

i want the cgi script to keep track of the name and mb, mb will be something they input, and make it keep adding up and save it as like name.txt, also i want the number to be added to a total of all users put together..

this is really easy for someone who knows perl, which isnt me! i want the form to be submited like

url.com/bin/blah.cgi?name=whoever&mb=3.3 or someting..! someone please help :)
--------------

let me reexplain what i want to do, cause i cant even understand my self!

im making a program (in another language) that a user uploads files, and i want the program to log the file into the internet.. which i will do by executing a url with the program. i want the program to create accounts for user names and keep track of how many mb they upload, and also, i want it to count files the member has uploaded.

then i want the cgi script to also be able to add the total uploads and mb's from all members--

make the script create a new name/file or watever for every new username submited!

u can do this anyyyway u want-- the easiest way for u.. i will modify my program to work with ur script!
