which version control is good for Putty Linux Can't Post

Hello Members.

I am using a windows pc and through windows pc, I access the linux machine with Putty.

Which would be a good GUI or command line version control system.

Is there any version control system, whose GUI i can install on windows and then i can get the files from linux machine.

Thank You.

I have not done any comparison testing so I can't say which vcs is best, but I've just starting using git and it seems pretty good. Subversion currently has the leading market share.

A simple google seach and a little reading of the comparisons might help you to decide on which one(s) you want to test.
