file versions Can't Post

How do I retrieve the version number of a file using perl? For example, I want to write a script that will list directory contents, recursively, and then retrieve and output to file the: filename, size, version, modified dates of all of the files.

I am just stumped by the version thing.

And if you want a good wrapper around the stat() function that is easier to use: File::stat
