how to extract images from pdf files Can't Post

Hi all,

I am currently involved in a research project in which I have to extract images out of pdf files. I know the "Pdflib TET" can do the job but its price is over $400.

Is there any other lower cost method to extract images from Pdf?

Thank you very much!

Upon googling your posts title with perl prepended, "perl how to extract images from pdf files", the top result is a perlmonks post that covers numerous methods.

- regex based jpeg extractor.
- CAM::PDF, which comes with the utility scripts and
- PDF::GetImages

I like the look of, try it out and let us know how it goes. Of course there are plenty of non Perl solutions to this too.
