Install Perl Module on Server Can't Post

I need to know how to get perl modules to work without calling Makefile.PL. Specifically I am using Image::Size module and have to deploy on a web server that only allows me ftp access. I have tried calling the "use" function locally (e.g. "use qw(/home/<usrname>/site_root);"
but each time I run the script I get a "Image/Size.pm did not return a true value"

What's the trick... if there is one. Thanks!

Re: Install Perl Module on Server [In reply to] Can't Post

If I recall correctly, Image::Size has some code that needs to be compiled, so there's no way around Makefile.PL. But, if you're on a Linux server, you can install and compile the module in your local server space.

Take a look at the post where I described the process of installing a Perl module locally: Re: installing perl module
