Cpan modules used by Apache Can't Post

HI,

Can someone point me to some documentation on understanding how to use modules/lib (think they are called modules) that are installed from cpan and used in Apache. My assumption here is I would install the modules using cpan (which i can do), but when I use https://<url>/perl-status/ to view the module installed I do not see it. Do those modules from cpan have to be compiled into apache to be available to apache? Or can I use mod_perl to leverage those modules. Or! do I need to use the cpan models that are prefixed with Apache:: in order to leverage the dynamically loaded perl modules? For example I did the following cpan "install Date::Format" but I do not see this module by way of cpan.
Installed modules are:
Date::Parse
Perl
cmd?

I don't know why it states Date::Parse when I defined Date::Format. I'm migrating a application from older apache, and trying to install the modules in which its using today.

I realize my questions may not exactly fit this forum, but I'm not understanding the information on the web with regards to my questions.
