     Mailing list

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to create a script that writes more one email to a mailing list txt file? All the mailing list programs I have found are the same.. they let you add one email only. If I have a lot of emails to add, is there a way to create a scrpt that does that, so it writes the emails to a text file?

Do you mean something so that you can send off multiple mails to the list, and have them be added to a text file?

No. Sorry, I didn't phrase it the right way.
When you are in the admin area of your mailing list, there is usually a text box where you can add or remove one subscriber from your mailing list. Sometimes I have 100 people to add, or many to remove (I collect emails on different places - my site, events, etc.) and with all these Mailing List programs, I have to go back and forth to add these high #'s of emails...

What I am looking for is a script, for example a text box (multiline) where I can enter all the email addresses I want to add or remove (separated by space, or one each line) and they all get added to (or removed from) the mailing list .txt file that contains all the addresses of previous subscribers..

I hope this is more clear, sorry about the last post...

You could find one that you like and just modify it so that it will accept more than just one. That's probably the easiest way to go.

The script checks the validity of the email addresses with this script..

sub checkaddress {

$INPUT{'email'} =~ s/\s//g;

unless ($INPUT{'email'} =~ /(@.*@)|(\.\.)|(@\.)|(\.@)|(^\.)|(,)/
|| $INPUT{'email'} !~
$legalemail = 1;
} else {
$legalemail = 0;

How can I change it so that it allowes me to add several addresses at once?
