redirrect? Can't Post

how do you make a script redirect to a web page if say the username/pass is wrong?
print redirect("http://whatever.com");
thats what my book says, but that doesnt work
can someone help me out please?

The redirect function is part of CGI.pm. Do you have the use CGI statement inserted into your code?
