appending to the top vs. the bottom of a text file Can't Post

OK, i know that one > will create a file, or overwrite it if it exists, and I know that two >> will append to a file. How do I make the script append to the top of a file as opposed to the bottom of the file? Script available upon request.

Thanks in Advance! :)
