deleteing items from an array... Can't Post

can someone tell if if there is a command which allows me to remove a specific item from an array, i am aware of POP and SHIFT, but they only allow me to remove only the first or last items of an array, is there a way i can remove the items in the middle of an array?

You want splice(). Read about it in the perlfunc section of the documentation (there's a link on the sidebar on the left).
