automatic FTP Can't Post

How do I program Perl to automatically (with my user name and password in the program) make directory on my web server and FTP (upload) my files? I've looked through The Camel Book and I don't see such a feature. I also looked through the Perl5 For Dummies and get the libwww-perl. But on FTP all it says is about downloading files (getstore())from a FTP site. Any pointers? Thanks!!!

Check out http://search.cpan.org/doc/GBARR/libnet-1.07/Net/FTP.pm

It's a good module for doing what you are trying to do.

Re: automatic FTP [In reply to] Can't Post

Has anyone used ftp-upload before? (http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=ftp-upload) It's a little overwhelming for a beginner. The installation requires libnet-perl. There was no search result from http://search.cpan.org/ for libnet-perl. Could it already be a part of Perl5? If I get it installed how do I use it as a part of a Perl program?

Darian, thanks for the pointer. You gave me the idea to search on http://search.cpan.org/. I think the ftp-upload might be easier and better for my program. I could be wrong.
