SSI Help Can't Post

Hi.

I have a counter (perl, duh!) that consists of just two files. The actual script, and a .txt that has just a # in it - the # of hits on the page. Now, in order to use the script, you must use SSI. The script is super-easy to install, I installed it, put the include thingie on my html page (the SSI) but nothing shows up on my page where the counter should be.

I remember hearing something about an entry you must have in .htaccess to use SSI?! If so, what is it? And yes, I do have .htaccess capabilities, and yes, I do have SSI capabilities.

Much obliged,

Jessica

Re: SSI Help [In reply to] Can't Post

maybe try naming your .html pages to .shtml

Most servers require the pages to be named .shtml but some don't...
