CGI writing to a files Can't Post

i have a project where the user will fill in forms on about 4 pages. the pages follow each other. i already have a cgi script that will submit the info entered into the single forms, but what i want to do is, as the user fills out the forms, clicking next will put all the entered information into a file. at the last page, the user is presented with a submit button and at that point all the information entered in the file is sent to a desired email address as one file. ive been trying to get this to work for a while. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Re: CGI writing to a files [In reply to] Can't Post

i suggest you look at creating the actual form in the cgi using the cgi module, due to the fact that you can use if else statments to determin which stage you form is and then return the correct form with any previous field created as hidden in the concurrent form. then once the final form has been sent you can sendmail the results, this way the cgi is not liable to flaws where you save a file that could be over written by 2 sessions at once.
