passing a variable through a url Can't Post

i have read some of the FAQ so sorry if this is in there

i have a whois script that passes a variable to another perl script through a url

eg)

a order link is clicked and the following address is called

http://www.whatever.co.uk/order/order.pl?domain=variable.com

My question is, how do i recieve the variable in the new script?

Many Thanks

The simplest way is to use the standard CGI module:

Code
use CGI;
my $query = CGI->new;

$server_name = $query->param('domain'); # variable.com
